Job description: Position: AWS Cloud Platform Cybersecurity Engineer

In support of Onyx Point customers, you will provide professional and technical cybersecurity
engineering services to design, build, and operate an enterprise Amazon Web Service (AWS) serving
global customers. Provide CSP-specific security engineering services including supporting the
architecture, DevSecOps implementation, and customer on-boarding. This includes duties such as
performing security impact assessment, briefing leadership on the state of the platform and results of
security monitoring and incident response, working with other security engineers and performing
analysis of apps, scripts, APIs, and connections, providing engineering applicable security and privacy
controls and ensuring each platform meets those technical controls, and provide support to AWS
security incidents (tickets) to resolution.

1. Integrate security defense, protection, detection, and response capabilities into new and
existing cloud-based, mobile and on-premise systems;
2. Understand security and privacy policy, regulations and standards and provide practical
solutions for meeting risk management objectives and obligations;
3. Learn, identify and communicate ways to configure or use AWS cloud services to achieve
security control objectives, meet agency policy, automate security processes and risk
response; Work with the solution architect, other engineers, administrators, security
compliance officers, and developers to identify strategies to arrive at optimal solutions that
balance risk management, cost, user functionality and mission objectives.
4. Represent the ISSO and System Owner during assessments to ensure accurate and concise
information is provided with the least impact to team members to obtain ATO.
5. Perform tier 2/3 security incident investigation and response;
6. Support onboarding internal customers to the platform, interpreting requirements to assist in
determining optimal configuration and services for security and risk management; and
7. Perform ongoing monitoring and risk reporting on the platform and the customers served.

Minimum Qualifications
1. 3 years of professional experience in cloud engineering, cybersecurity, information
assurance, system administration and/or security operations.
2. Hands-on experience performing cybersecurity engineering and operations in AWS Cloud
Platform and Workplace.
3. Demonstrable experience with FISMA, FedRAMP, and NIST SP 800-53 in large
enterprises Active DOD/DSS SECRET security clearance or higher
4. Strong analytical skills with excellent verbal and written communication
5. Shows initiative, presents ideas to overcome challenges, self-starter
6. Experience implementing security in other cloud services such as Microsoft Azure, GCP, or
Service Now
