GovCIO is currently hiring for an Cybersecurity Training Specialist for our program with the US Courts. This position will be located in San Antonio, TX and is a hybrid remote position.

Responsibilities

  • General technical trainer to teach Cybersecurity CompTia courses (Security+, Network+ or CASP)
  • Ability to develop relationships with colleagues and technology SMEs to understand how the client will use the Cybersecurity technology and why they need the training (develop plans and justify the need)
  • Instructional Design
  • Developing course material from scratch
  • Create job specific technical training material associated with, but not limited to job aides, webinars, in-person training and Electronic Learning Modules (ELMs).

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree with 9+ years (or commensurate experience)
  • 9 years of experience working and interacting in a team environment
  • 6 years of experience training adult learners
  • 6 years of experience editing training materials
  • Experience training adult learners on technical topics.
  • Experience conducting live training using video conferencing tools (ie Microsoft Teams, Zoom, WebEx, etc.)
  • Ability to work and interact with others in a structured team environment.
  • Accuracy, attention to detail, and good organizational skills.
  • Self-motivation and the qualities of a self-starter.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with challenging priorities.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • Experience with one or more of the following CompTIA topics (with the ability to come up to speed quickly on any in the list below):
  • Security+
  • Network+
  • CASP
  • Excellent editing skills.
  • Clearance Required: Able to acquire and maintain Public Trust

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Federal or state court experience

Posted Pay Range

The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Posted Salary Range

USD $81,850.00 – USD $83,000.00 /Yr.
