Job Description

The Lead IT Engineer – Identity & Access Management is responsible for designing, developing, testing, implementing, and integrating highly complex Identity and Access Management (IAM) systems and solutions in support of Casey’s strategic objectives. An engineering lead provides technical leadership to other team members in designing and implementing solutions while serving as a subject matter expert in IAM capabilities and solutions for the organization.

Responsibilities include identifying, analyzing, and resolving systems design weaknesses, prioritizing troubleshooting efforts, and pinpointing resolutions to highly complex issues surrounding access to systems. This position works with IT internal support teams as well as external clients within the organization to provide the highest standards of support relative to identity access management practices. Other responsibilities include monitoring and maintenance of highly complex IAM systems, training teammates and peers, and communication of (IAM) processes, and advising on IAM solutions and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provides technical leadership on IAM integrations and process development efforts with other teams across the organization.
  • Designs, develops, tests, implements, and integrates highly complex Identity and Access Management (IAM) systems and solutions. Ensures that solutions protect information resources against unauthorized use, inappropriate degrees of access, disclosure, damage and/or loss. Leverages problem solving and data analysis skills to ensure projects deliver on time.
  • Identifies, analyzes, and resolves highly complex system design weaknesses. Troubleshoots and manages the resolution of issues related identities, systems, access, accounts, authentication, authorization, entitlements, and permissions. Determines and recommends the most appropriate response to identified more complex problems, issues and/or defects by assessing impact and prioritization.
  • Ensures the maintenance, patching, operating, and monitoring of highly complex IAM systems. Troubleshoots, supports, and resolves system incidents, problems, and changes as required.
  • Facilitate the continuous adoption, training, communication, and education of IAM capabilities, functions, and standards.
  • Defines, promotes, and advises on highly complex solutions and best practices by using appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the system development life cycle.
  • Designs reusable strategies, decisions, service components, libraries, and frameworks to support enterprise-level IAM services.
  • Maintains awareness and knowledge of current changes within legal, regulatory, and technology environments which may affect operations. Ensures senior management and staff are informed of any changes and updates in a timely manner. Establishes and maintains appropriate network of professional contacts. Maintains membership in appropriate professional organizations and publications. Attends meetings, seminars and conferences and maintains continuity of any required or desirable certifications, if applicable.
  • Serves as a mentor to senior engineers, engineers, and associate engineers on the team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent years of related work experience.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience building and maintaining technical cybersecurity solutions in a business environment.
  • Outstanding interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Capable of identifying problems, analyzing, and evaluating information to determine solutions for problem solving.
  • Takes initiative and has the ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, or as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to remain organized and self-motivated. Prioritizes and organizes assignments to make efficient use of time.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • ISC2 Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP+), SANS (GSEC), or equivalent industry certification.
  • Outstanding hands-on, technical experience in systems integration or software. engineering of identity and access management (IAM) solutions (such as BeyondTrust, CyberArk, Thycotic, Duo, OKTA, CyberArk, SailPoint, Saviynt).
  • Excellent experience as a technical leader within development operations initiatives
  • Excellent skills developing and implementing capabilities within the IAM lifecycle.
  • Strong experience with one or more programming language such as Java, C#, C/C++, Python or JavaScript; Excellent PowerShell scripting skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of information security and risk.
  • Technical experience administering authentication and authorization efforts within Microsoft Azure.
  • Technical understanding of IT and Information Security solutions, processes, and systems.
  • Experience with configuring and maintaining IAM capabilities of Oracle ERP.
  • 1+ years’ experience providing team leadership within an IT shared services organization.
  • 1+ years’ experience in IAM engineering, focused on IAM platform management and automation.
  • Ability to document business requirements and functional/technical specifications.
  • Ability to effectively present and communicate IAM capabilities to a non-technical audience.
